Exercise Programs

Even before you decide to join our club, the Pre Exercise Questionnaire (PEQ) that you complete when you tour our club ensures that we fully understand why you have chosen to exercise so that when you do become a member we know exactly what goals you want to achieve.

Every client at Fitness n Motion receives FREE exercise programs and updates on a regular basis as part of their membership. Each of these consultations is with a fully qualified Trainer registered with Fitness Australia.

Naturally these programs are optional as some clients just want to participate in group fitness classes and some experienced clients just want to do their own exercise program.

If you are new to exercise and want to get the most benefit from your membership, we recommend that you commit yourself to attend each of the 30 minute consultations within the recommended time frame. By attending these consultations, you will start a habit that will set yourself on the road towards achieving your goals and will help make exercise an integral part of your lifestyle.

Your Trainer will discuss the various exercise options available to you before advising what type of exercise would best suit you. Your Trainer will also help you identify realistic short, intermediate and long term goals for you to work towards while exercising at our club.

Each consultation is designed to encourage and motivate you towards achieving your goals by helping you understand why you should exercise and why exercise and proper nutrition can help you in reaching and maintaining an optimal weight and healthy lifestyle.

Once you have had the Health Check, your Trainer will design and then take you through a cardiovascular and resistance (weights) exercise program.

Cardiovascular Program

Based on your goals, fitness level and determination, your fitness consultant will show you through your personalised cardiovascular program.

This program is designed to improve your overall cardiovascular fitness and fat burning potential.

The cardio program will incorporate the use of one or a number of pieces of electronic cardio equipment and may also include one or more Group Fitness Classes.

Don't let any fears of uncoordinated two left feet tempt you to avoid the classes as experience has shown that most people achieve their goals faster by participating in these classes as they are far more motivating than the average bike.

Once you have completed the cardio program your Trainers will take you through your resistance or weights program.

Resistance Program

Depending on your goals and current health, this program will utilise a number of pieces of resistance equipment (Weights machines) and free weights.

This program is designed to improve your muscle tone and strengthen your muscles. As well as improving your posture and firming up your muscles, this workout will also assist in raising your metabolism which will increase your body's ability to burn additional fuel i.e. Food & body fat.

For those of you that are recovering from an injury or illness, resistance training is extremely good in helping the body return to full health. When necessary, your Fitness Consultant will design a rehabilitation program for you in consultation with your chosen Health professional.
